Financial Promotions Associate – Job Description

Your role: 

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulates the Financial Services industry. Its role includes protecting consumers, keeping the industry stable and promoting healthy competition between financial services providers.

The role of the Financial Promotions Associate is to support and work alongside the Lead Financial Promotions Associate carrying out Financial Promotions website and social media reviews. You will be reviewing the websites and social media content of our Appointed Representative (AR) Clients to ensure they meet the regulator’s (FCA) rules and guidance and offer advice/guidance to keep their online activity compliant.

Role Responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking financial promotions reviews of Websites and Social Media for our Appointed Representatives to ensure they meet The FCA’s Financial Promotions rules and guidance.
  • Responsibility for ongoing monitoring of social media and advertisements for our Appointed Representative network of Motor Dealers.
  • Assisting with the advice on Financial Promotions enquiries, administration, and Management Information.
  • Liaising with clients via telephone, email and virtual meetings.
  • Data analysis, for Root Causes and marketing trends.

Financial Promotions experience and basic knowledge of who the FCA are and what they do would be an advantage but are not essential. Full Training will be given to the right candidate.

 

Skill requirements:

There are some other basics that would assist the success of an application. In the role, you will be required to provide our clients with a detailed templated report to outline requirements for a website review, as well as reviews of other types of financial promotion. Therefore, good written skills, using Word and Excel would be required and excellent verbal skills to liaise with clients over the telephone, Teams or Zoom.

  • Demonstrate a good knowledge of using Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate with our clients via telephone, email and video calling.
  • Data analysis and compiling reports.
  • Navigation of websites.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and their use.
  • Basic Understanding of the FCA’s Aims

Interviews for successful applicants will be carried out as soon as possible, with a target start date of End of April/Early May.

Whilst proximity to our office in Gloucester is preferred for this role, we will consider remote working. Wherever possible, we operate a hybrid blend of Physical Office Attendance in central Gloucester 3 days per week and (optional) working from home 2 days a week. Whilst PC equipment will be supplied to perform this role, a suitable workspace environment at home is a requirement.

 

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £22,000 (whilst training) – £24,000 per year

Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours
