The role will cover both general insurance and credit broking activities and will provide an insight into the risk and compliance workings of both areas, giving valuable broad compliance experience! Role includes:
- Assisting the Risk and Compliance function in achieving oversight and monitoring of the appointed representatives
- Assist in the delivery of the compliance monitoring plan
- Provide analysis on various compliance areas, such as: complaints, financial promotions, onboarding, risk framework
- Provide administrative assistance to the risk and compliance team,
- Offer support and guidance to the wider business on risk and compliance matters
- Co-ordinate and facilitate risk and compliance meetings, reviews and matters arising
- Assist the risk and compliance team in meeting regulatory objectives, working on high profile developments such as the Consumer Duty, Improving the Appointed Representatives Regime and Vulnerable Customers
- Taking the lead on completing tasks assigned to support current ongoing projects
- Supporting in the review and creation of procedures and policies, maintaining records and effective filing systems
- Identifying opportunities for improvement to business processes, procedures and customer outcomes
- Reviewing and quality checking risk and compliance reports, MI and wider business documentation
- Escalation of compliance risks and horizon scanning to the senior leadership team
